The U.S. federal government has set a bold target to roll out 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy by the year 2030.
This effort could create around 77,000 jobs, provide clean power to 10 million homes, and help reduce carbon emissions by 78 million metric tons.
To make this happen, the Department of Energy has committed over $300 million to support carefully chosen offshore wind projects focused on research, development, and real-world demonstrations.
